Tips to Ease Toothache
Take painkillers, like ibuprofen or paracetamol, or a pain-relieving gel for your mouth - consult a pharmacist if you are unsure
Eat soft foods. Try to avoid chewing on the sore tooth and avoid foods that are sweet, very hot, or very cold
Avoid smoking - often this will worsen dental problems
Keep the affected tooth clean with frequent use of rinses such as hot salt water (1/2 a teaspoon of salt dissolved in a glass of warm water) or Peroxyl mouthwash
If you have lost a filling which is causing your toothache or is causing soreness against the soft tissues in your mouth, clean the tooth and place a temporary filling to reduce sharpness
